The XKR-S was limited to just 200 cars (only 50 in right-hand drive), and was only available in UK and Europe. The car is capable of 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and a maximum speed electronically limited to 174 mph. When new it was the fastest Jaguar since the XJ220 supercar. The XKR-S featured revised suspension with bespoke springs, dampers, anti-roll bar and recalibrated CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension). The car also featured revised exterior styling including a new front air-splitter, side sill extensions, rear spoiler and rear bumper with unique diffuser panel and 20" lightweight Vortex alloy wheels. The car was only available in Ultimate Black with contrasting finish to the grille, side sills, side power vents and rear diffuser. The Alcon R Performance brake system features red monobloc six-piston calliper's and 400mm brakes discs at the front, 350mm at the rear. An Active Exhaust System ensures refinement at cruising speed and a purposeful V8 roar under hard acceleration. The interior features full soft-grain leather with twin-needle contrast stitching, adjustable seat bolsters, Piano Black veneer and Charcoal Alston luxury headliner. There is also a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 525W Premium audio featuring low distortion Kevlar mid range speakers and aluminium dome speakers designed and tuned specifically for the XK.
